  • Do you do phone or virtual consultations?

I do virtual consultations. I do not do phone consultations. Being able to visualize my clients is important for me to make a thorough assessment and plan for each family. I use Google Hangouts Meet, which is a secure HIPPA compliant platform, for virtual consultations.

  • Do you have travel fees?

Yes, an additional $50 travel fee applies for travel beyond 30 miles. I see clients in Sonoma, Napa, and Marin counties.

  • Will my insurance cover the cost of a private lactation consultation?

I accept insurance through Blue Cross Blue Shield PPO, Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield PPO, and Cigna PPO. These are processed through The Lactation Network. Please register with The Lactation Network here to get your insurance approval for visits with me.

 

For other insurance plans, your insurance company may reimburse you for a private lactation consultation but payment is variable depending on the type of insurance and the insurance company. I will provide a Superbill at the end of our visit that you can submit to your insurance company to seek reimbursement. I am not able to provide a Superbill for virtual consultations.

  • What forms of payment do you accept?

Cash or credit card are accepted at the end of our first in-person visit together. For virtual consultations, online payment is required prior to the visit. I use SquareUp for online and credit card payments.
