  • Do you do phone or virtual consultations?

I do virtual consultations. I do not do phone consultations. Being able to visualize my clients is important for me to make a thorough assessment and plan for each family. I use Google Meet, which is a secure HIPPA compliant platform, for virtual consultations.

  • Do you have travel fees?

​

Yes, an additional $50 travel fee applies for travel beyond 30 miles. I see clients in Sonoma and Marin counties.

  • Will my insurance cover the cost of a private lactation consultation?

​

I do contract with some of the major insurance plans. Insurance coverage for lactation services is required through the Affordable Care Act, but accessing that coverage can still be challenging with some health care plans. I will confirm your specific plan coverage before our first visit so coverage/payment is clear to you.  I can also provide a Superbill at the end of our visit that you can submit to your insurance company to seek reimbursement if I am not contracted with them. I am not able to provide a Superbill for virtual consultations.

  • What forms of payment do you accept?

​

Cash or credit card are accepted at the end of our first in-person visit together. For virtual consultations, online payment is required prior to the visit. I use SquareUp for online and credit card payments.
